  • Taos, New Mexico
This is the .........Paul Strand, Ansel Adams, Edward Weston were some of the first photographers to make it famous and every photographer worth his or her salt should treat it like the photographic Mecca it is and make the journey at least once in their lifetime.  Sorry, but the last time I went by they had thrown a tourist shopping center with a lot of stuff from those Chinese Indians right in front of it. I can feel Ansel flipping about in his grave.  So good luck and there is always Photoshop.

Newspaper rock, Utah...Photographing before Canyonlands became a park...before the religious crazies came to the new park to destroy the symbols of the devils work they saw in Indian wall art...before they had to cover Newspaper Rock in plastic to protect it.  You know...back in the good old days.

  • Wall Art New York
One can look at it as art...or the decorating of an ugly wall...or a crime against the rules and regulations that abound in New York that require punishment.  It is, of course, an expression coming from inside the person who did the work.  Were they trying to make a statement or just having a bit of fun on a hot day. Some artists have books of art speak to try and explain what they do.  Street Artists just let the walls speak for themselves if they want to say something.

  • Dreaming in New York
At first I did not see him...I only saw the mess of New York City art.  Then suddenly he was there creating his own art within the art.   So much around us that we do not see or do not want to see.  How many care about a black man sleeping off a high?

  • Death
Forth of July was coming up.  Miami always had a lot of accidents on the fourth so the Herald asked me to shoot a picture that might make people think of avoiding accidents.  What to do....? So went to a junk yard, found a crashed car, poured the ketchup I had brought along all over my hand, lit an old newspaper on fire and had my wife at that time shoot the picture.  And you believe everything you see in the papers or on the web is real?  Ha Ha Ha...I think there were fewer accidents that year.
